We only visited the waterfalls for the first time last year, but it has become a firm favourite for a weekend outing. The drive there, which takes just over an hour, allows you to take in some of Rote's beautiful scenery and local culture as you pass through villages and over high peaks. And once you get there, it is defintely worth the time in the truck! With several pools to swim in and some impressive falls, it really gives you that feeling of being in the jungle! If you go on a weekday you are likely to have the place to yourself...apart from some mosquitos, so we recommend taking repellant!
